Health and Physical Education Mr. Vincent Fadale ([email protected]) Physical Education What we’ve been doing? K-5 students will play speed bowling. This game emphasizes teamwork, cardiovascular endurance, and bowling skills. 3-5 students will also do fitness testing for push-ups. 6-8th grade students will learn about the forehand flick throw in ultimate frisbee. What we are going to do? Majority of students did not meet due to PSSA Testing. Health (Middle School) What we’ve been doing? 6th grade will learn about the muscular system. 7th grade will continue their unit on fitness. and learn about different types of muscular contractions and muscle fiber types. In addition, students watched a sports science video on adaptations through exercise. 8th grade students reviewed for their test on the circulatory system. What we are going to do? 6th grade will learn about the integumentary system. 7th grade will continue their unit on fitness with a sports science video on adaptations. 8th grade will review for their test.

Health and Physical Education Mr. Vincent Fadale ([email protected]) Physical Education What we’ve been doing? K-2 students will celebrate our backwards day by playing backwards soccer. This is like a soccer game, but everything is backwards. Goals are backwards, the ball can only be hit with hands, and goalkeepers can only use their feet. 6-8th grade students will continue their floor hockey unit with gameplay. What we are going to do? The majority of students will not meet due to PSSA testing. Health (Middle School) What we’ve been doing? Students did not meet this week due to PSSA testing. What we are going to do? 6th grade will continue their unit on the skeletal, muscular, and integumentary system. 7th grade will continue their unit on fitness. 8th grade will continue their unit on the circulatory system. |
