Health and Physical Education Mr. Vincent Fadale ([email protected]) Physical Education What we’ve been doing? Students in all grades have continued our soccer unit. The K-2 students learned how to trap the ball in our lord of the rings dribbling game. The 3-5 students learned how to pass and throw in a soccer ball. Middle School students did 3 on 3 drills to learn how to play defense as well as spread out and use space on offense. Students also had gameplay after the drills and discussed strategies. What we are going to do? K-2 students will be continuing our soccer unit with shooting. 3-5 students will be starting gameplay. Middle School will practice goal keeping and continue gameplay. Students will also receive a study guide for soccer skills and strategies. Health (Middle School) What we’ve been doing? 6th grade students learned about the 4 different types of tissue and how they work in our body. 7th and 8th grade learned how different micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) as well as water work in the body. What we are going to do? 6th grade students will learn how different body systems interact to help our body work . 7th and 8th grade students will learn about healthy eating and food labels. Homework will be to bring in a food label for next class to compare and contrast.
