Health and Physical Education Mr. Vincent Fadale ([email protected]) Physical Education What we’ve been doing? Students have concluded gameplay in soccer this week in grades 3-8. K-2 students have started playing dodging and fleeing games. This helps develop spatial awareness and cardiovascular endurance. Our games this week were “sharks and minnows” and “treasure island.” What we are going to do? K-2 students will be continuing dodging and fleeing games. 3-5 students will start a track and kickball unit. 6-8 will take a quiz in soccer and start our football unit. Health (Middle School) What we’ve been doing? 6th grade students have learned about how our bodies transport and excrete essential materials such as oxygen, carbon dioxide and nutrients. 7th and 8th grade did not meet last week due to Practice PSSA Testing. What we are going to do? 6th grade students will learn how the nervous and endocrine systems interact to control body function. 7th and 8th grade students will bring in their own food labels and due a group activity.
