The games we played this week were called “Water, Fire, and Trees” and “Crows and Cranes.” 3-5 students have continued our track and field and kickball unit. We worked on hurdling and jumping this week for track and field. In kickball we expanded upon rules and strategies in our gameplay. 6-8th grade students have continued their football unit. Students learned how to properly carry a football. Students then did an activity which utilized running with the football and throwing for accuracy. Students also played Ultimate Football. The rules are the same as ultimate frisbee, but a football is used. This forces students to work together, move to get open, defend receivers/passes, pass, and catch the football.
